What is ART
ART (http://art.diakonhjemmeths.no/)Goldstein, Glick and Gibbs. 1998 described ART in their book "Aggression Replacement Training, a comprehensive Intervention for Agggressive Youth" as a comprehensive behavioral, cognitive, and emotional trainingprogram. Skillstreaming is its behavioral component, Anger Control Training is its emotion-targeted component, and Moral Reasoning Training is its cognitive component.
In 2002, Rogaland College, now Diakonhjemmet University College Rogaland, started a postgraduate training programme entitled ''Training of Social Competence''. Firstly, the main subject of the program was Aggression Replacement Training (ART). Later, the training program was expanded to also comprising other forms for training of social competence. Today, the postgraduate training program's most important purposes are to train students in the identification, treatment, and prevention of aggressive and anti-social behaviour, and to teach them skills for the implementation of ART in organizations.
